PVC Patches

Custom PVC Patches for your Clothing Brand

We specialize in crafting custom PVC patches, which are durable and flexible rubber patches suitable for clothing, hats, and various other items. These patches are lightweight, waterproof, and resistant to fading. Our range includes different types of custom PVC patches, such as clear PVC patches, Velcro patches, morale or name patches, and glow-in-the-dark PVC patches.

Generally, custom PVC patches feature single-sided logos. If a two-sided logo is desired, two PVC patches can be joined together, with one side being thinner to avoid excessive thickness. Unlike silicone patches that can be made with two-sided logos using mold clamping, PVC patches are typically designed as 2D, 3D embossed, recessed, or hollow logos. We can even create logos that glow in the dark, making them ideal for nighttime runners.

When it comes to choosing between 2D and 3D custom PVC patches, there are significant differences. 2D PVC patches have multiple horizontal layers, making them suitable for minimalist designs and colorful patches with raised and recessed logos. On the other hand, 3D PVC patches feature raised logos with a three-dimensional effect, adding intricate detail and realism to the product. However, it’s important to note that 3D PVC patches are usually more complex and come at a higher price point than 2D PVC patches.

There are various methods for attaching custom PVC patches, each with its unique features. Here are some common backing options for affixing PVC patches:

  1. Plain Backing: This method involves sewing PVC patches onto fabrics, clothing, or other items. The patches typically have four-sided stitching grooves around the edges, making them easy to attach with a few simple stitches.

  2. Velcro Fastener: Velcro fasteners consist of a hook surface on the PVC patches and a rough surface on the garment. One part is sewn onto the back of the patch, while the other is sewn onto the clothing. This allows for easy removal and reattachment. Clients can choose whether to include the rough surface on the garment.

  3. Self-Adhesive (Glue): This option involves adding adhesive on the back of the PVC patch. However, it’s important to note that the adhesive may deteriorate and weaken after about a year of use, so it should be used with caution.

  4. Sewing Margin: To ensure secure sewing, it’s recommended to have a top margin of at least 4-5cm on the patch, which can also be sewn on the side for added stability.

  5. Round Holes: Round holes can be incorporated into the PVC patches, providing an alternative method for attachment.

  6. Chains and Rings: Chains and rings can be added to create various keychains and unique shapes for the patches.

  7. PVC Loop or PVC Buckle: This option involves adding a PVC loop or buckle to the PVC patches. It’s particularly suitable for crafting accessories and various items. However, it requires holes in the PVC patch to connect with the PVC loop ring.

These versatile backing methods offer flexibility in how custom PVC patches can be applied to different products and projects.
